It’s 1964, St. Nicholas in the Bronx. The winds of political change are sweeping through the community, and indeed, the school has just accepted its first black student, Donald Miller. But when Sister James (Academy Award® nominee Amy Adams), a hopeful innocent, shares with Sister Aloysius her guilt-inducing suspicion that Father Flynn is paying too much personal attention to Donald, Sister Aloysius sets off on a personal crusade to unearth the truth and to expunge Flynn from the school. WHY WATCH IT : Are you kidding, why wouldn’t you watch this movie?? Philip Seymour Hoffman and Meryl Streep? You can’t get better than that.
It is a film that will at least get 1 Oscar, make my words.
Besides starring Philip and Meryl, the film looks amazingly shot and it has an unique storyline. Its a “guess you did it” film. Its one of those films that you are ROOTING for the character to film the person responsible. They know the person did it, even if they have no proof. When there is no “DOUBT” about it, they just know.
Who would not want to watch this film? I know I do.
