SYNOPSIS : Set in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society, and the “Doomsday Clock” – which charts the USA’s tension with the Soviet Union – is permanently set at five minutes to midnight. When one of his former colleagues is murdered, the washed up but no less determined masked vigilante Rorschach sets out to uncover a plot to kill and discredit all past and present superheroes. As he reconnects with his former crime-fighting legion – a ragtag group of retired superheroes, only one of whom has true powers – Rorschach glimpses a wide-ranging and disturbing conspiracy with links to their shared past and catastrophic consequences for the future. Their mission is to watch over humanity…but who is watching the watchmen?

Every character has its own story but it does not take away from the main story.
This film was everything you would want in a movie.
It has:
- Comedy: Some jokes here and there. Subtle but it's there
- Action: Are you kidding me? From beginning to end
- Blood: Just the right amount, for the bitting they get
- Romance: For the ladies and some men as well
- Politics: How doesn't love to see the government being blamed for stuff
Long story short, Watchmen is for people that want to have some fun and/or like a movie with a message to mankind.
PROBLEMS: It does not continue, the story ends there.
WARNING: This film is not your typical superhero movie. IT IS NOT FOR KIDS.
So, if you don't want your kids to see blood, sex or a ENORMOUS Naked Blue Man, do not take them.
