Lindsay just confirmed through Twitter that she landed a new movie role.
The newly blond actress is set to appear in the "Grindhouse" spin-off "Machete."
Lohan tweeted
"Something was made official today!!!!!!!!!"with a link to "Machete's" IMDB.com page.
Director Robert Rodriguez hinted he wanted to team up with the "Mean Girls" star in an interview with MTV.com in July.
The troubled actress's last film, "Labor Pains," went straight to TV. And she reportedly turned down the role in "The Hangover" that went to Heather Graham. That flick went on to gross over $200 million dollars.
"Machete" follows a highly skilled assassin who is hired to kill a senator when the tables are turned. Lindsay's potential castmates include Robert De Niro and Jonah Hill.
"Machete" will be her second movie role in the last two years.
