Rumors have been flying that Warner Bros. Pictures wants Rain to star in their remake of Bruce Lee's "Enter the Dragon".

The classic movie about the martial artists turned undercover agent to bust a drug operation is being remade by Warner Bros. with the production title "Awaken the Dragon"

"Awaken" will be set in modern times and will revolve around the life of a FBI agent who follows a monk into the underground world of MMA fight clubs.

With Rain's new movie, "Ninja Assassin" set for release on November 25th, it seems like Rain is already gaining popularity in Hollywood despite the box office disaster, "Speed Racer".

Back in April we heard that Universal were aiming for a Bourne 4 summer 2011 release and a draft of the script should be finished by June. Well it is now the end of July and according to Matt Damon they still don’t have a script.

“I just saw [producer] Frank Marshall, and we were talking about it,” Damon said in a group interview today in Pasadena, Calif., where he was promoting his History Channel special The People Speak. “Then I’ve talked to [Bourne Supremacy and Ultimatum director] Paul Greengrass quite a bit about that.”

During press rounds for Ultimatum, Damon and Greengrass joked that a fourth film would have to be called The Bourne Redundancy, because the character has already found his identity. For his part, Damon says he’s interested in reprising the action-hero role, but won’t commit before confirming the quality of the script.

“Oh yeah, we won’t do it unless it’s good,” Damon added. “Promise.”

The literary world was able to continue the Bourne series even after Ludlum’s death: Eric Van Lustbader wrote The Bourne Betrayal, The Bourne Deception, The Bourne Legacy and The Bourne Sanction. “I didn’t read those,” Damon said.

Since a script is still a long way off, Damon has not had to hit the gym to get back into fighting shape. He will, when the time comes, if necessary, he said. “Not yet,” he said. “None us have kind of seen [a script] yet, and Paul’s still cutting a movie that we worked on, so we’ll get together and talk about it.”

George Nolfi has been hired to write the script, so he could be working on it as we speak. Aslong as they get things going during 2010 they should hit their 2011 spot.

Resident Evil: Afterlife is planning filming for September this year. And it's going to be 3D. Milla Jovovich told ShockTillYouDrop that during an interview August 2:

“There’s a great script and it’s going to be pretty wild. It’s going to be in 3D,” she said diplomatically. “They figured out a lot of stuff. We start shooting in September, they’ve got it all figured out at this point.”

Anderson has really been getting prepared to make his return to directing the franchise since the first movie, especially with the 3D factor being added to the equation. “He’s been really studying it and seeing all the different things they have and watching every 3D movie ever made pretty much,” Milla told us. “Especially for a movie like this, because it’s wild and a lot of action and a lot of potential for 3D to use the medium at its best. Paul has been going to every 3D company and he’s now signed a deal to go with Jim Cameron’s 3D company–they did ‘Avatar’–It should be pretty interesting. I’ve never actually seen a 3D movie.”

James Cameron and his company spent years developing “3D virtual cameras which would produce stereoscopic 3D images simulating human sight” for Avatar, and the technology is supposed to bring 3D out of the ‘kid movie gimmick’ phase and revolutionize movies forever. That’s what they are saying. We’ll have to wait till December to see if the technology achieves that, but with more and more movies being filmed in 3D it looks like we’ll be seeing more of it in the future anyhow.

Vampires are becoming the THING in Hollywood at the moment. Pretty much everyone is making a Vampire movie or show; either scary, romantic or in between.

Well, Universal is getting on the wagon with "CIRQUE DU FREAK: The Vampire's Assistant".

The film centers on a young boy who meets a mysterious man at a freak show who turns out to be a Vampire. After a series of events the boy leaves his normal life and goes on the road with the Cirque Du Freak and becomes a Vampire. Watch the trailer below!



The film is directed by Paul Weitz (American Pie, In Good Company) and will be released on October 23rd. It also has quite a cool cast, consisting of John C. Reilly, Ken Watanabe, Ray Stevenson, Orlando Jones, and Salma Hayek.

Jason Segel is attached to star alongside Jonah Hill and Jason Schwartzman in "The Adventurer's Handbook," a comedy for Universal.

Jonah Hill, Matt Spicer and Max Winkler wrote the script, about four childhood friends who are bored with the monotony of their lives and embark on a global adventure inspired by the stories of explorers detailed in Mick Conefrey's book "The Adventurer's Handbook: Life Lessons From History's Great Explorers."

Universal picked up the book rights as well as the script in February.

Segel would play a talented musician who never got his act together, becoming a backup piano player and an alcoholic; Hill plays an engineer, isolated from his family; Schwartzman is a spoiled and cowardly three-time Grammy winner. (Kinda like Without a Paddle)

The studio hopes to be in production by early next year for a 2010 release.

DC Comics and Warner are in the works for a movie of Adam Strange.
The premise of the movie is:

An archaeologist is suddenly sent from Earth to another planet where he must protect it from outside dangers.

Right now the movie is on PITCH status with the company wanting a 2013 release.

Aside from the "Mass Effect" film that will be produced by "Spider-Man" producer Avi Arad, EA is in business with Universal on "Army of Two," with Scott Z. Burns ("The Bourne Ultimatum") scripting and Scott Stuber producing. EA's "The Sims" is being developed by producer John Davis and "Dante's Inferno" by Strike Entertainment.

The Electronic Arts hit vidgame "Dead Space" is on course to become a sci-fi/horror film with "Eagle Eye" helmer D.J. Caruso attached to direct, following the trend of VidGames turned to Films.

"Dead Space" becomes the fifth EA title to make into a feature film.

Avi Arad Productions will be in charge of bringing this video game to life. Right now the movie is in its early stage due to the fact that they don't even have a final script yet(treatment/outline). They are hoping for a 2012 release, but nothing is final.

Sacha Baron Cohen has already made movies out of all three characters from his HBO series Da Ali G Show, now what?

Accoring to them, Sacha Baron Cohen is developing a new character with his partner Dan Mazer for another movie. The film appears to be a mockumentary about a “Eurovision singer”. Eurovision is kind of like an international American Idol in which European countries submit songs and then audiences vote on the best one via a live television broadcast.

It is not confirm yet, but knowing how Sacha is, it might be true.

Assuming any of this turns out to be true, don’t expect another one of Sacha’s ambush documentaries. He’s become too recognizable to pull them off and Cohen's has been clear that Bruno will be the last of those. Instead anticipate a fully scripted mockumentary.

The newly blond actress is set to appear in the "Grindhouse" spin-off "Machete."

Director Robert Rodriguez hinted he wanted to team up with the "Mean Girls" star in an interview with MTV.com in July.

"Machete" follows a highly skilled assassin who is hired to kill a senator when the tables are turned. Lindsay's potential castmates include Robert De Niro and Jonah Hill.

"Machete" will be her second movie role in the last two years.

The official website for Sony’s Screen Gems film adaptation of Priest has launched, and with it we get our first look at Paul Bettany as the main character in the story.

The adaptation of the TokyoPop comic book is being directed by Scott Stewart, who also directed the film Legion recently. The film is being prepped for release on August 13, 2010.

The story is set in a world ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampire and follows a warrior priest (Bettany) who turns against the church to track down a murderous band of vampires who have kidnapped his niece. Cam Gigandet co-stars.

Here a two new pictures of the upcoming Iron Man Movie straight from Comic-Con

Here’s what Marvel has to say:

We were privy to witness two scenes being film for “Iron Man 2.” The first scene depicted Tony (Robert Downey Jr.) looking down at a scale model of the Stark Expo, which closely resembles the New York World’s Fair Pavilion. This included a Unisphere at the center of the convention. As the camera panned from the level of the model towards Tony looking inquisitive at the Stark Expo, he spoke to himself, “The key to the future is…where?”

The second scene we saw featured a much more animated Tony, as he interacted with Jarvis in his workshop. The sequence required Tony to utilize the holographic-floor as he paced around the workshop to investigate further into the main pavilion of the Stark Expo. Prior to filming the sequence, we saw Downey speak with the post-production director regarding the ideal gestures and motions to best interact with the planned projected images.

In this scene Tony reconstructs the main pavilion by enlarging and relocating structures with his hand motions. Doing so evidently allows Tony to reach a conniption prompting him to remark to Jarvis, “I am discovering-rediscovering-a new element.”

Marvel then speculates after witnessing these scenes the following:

It became apparent that a central mystery in “Iron Man 2″ requires Tony to look into his father’s past, specifically the Stark Expo. This will play a major role in the energy crisis, which is a chief issue in the film.
