The official website for Sony’s Screen Gems film adaptation of Priest has launched, and with it we get our first look at Paul Bettany as the main character in the story.
The adaptation of the TokyoPop comic book is being directed by Scott Stewart, who also directed the film Legion recently. The film is being prepped for release on August 13, 2010.
The story is set in a world ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampire and follows a warrior priest (Bettany) who turns against the church to track down a murderous band of vampires who have kidnapped his niece. Cam Gigandet co-stars.
The action continues from [Rec], with the medical officer and a SWAT team outfitted with video cameras are sent into the sealed off apartment to control the situation.

Plot: A post-apocalyptic tale, in which a lone man fights his way across America in order to protect a sacred book that holds the secrets to saving humankind.
Production: In May 2007, Warner Bros. signed the Hughes brothers to direct The Book of Eli, based on a script by Gary Whitta. In September 2008, actor Denzel Washington was cast into the lead role. In the following October, Gary Oldman was cast to star alongside Washington. Filming began in February 2009 in New Mexico.

This name might not mean a lot to the little ones, but it means countless sleepless nights for people like me.
For horror fans like myself, New Line Cinema is bringing back our favorite dream monster with a new actor and all. Sadly Robert Englund is not in this movie, but it is about time he passes the "glove" to a new actor, and this actor is Jackie Earl Haley.
When I hear that this movie was going to be remade, I was SCREAMING LIKE A MANIAC. How could they do this??? Doesn't Hollywood have new ideas?? But after reading a early draft of the movie, I started to realize that this could be good. The script was written by Wesley Strick and in my opinion he did justice to Freddy.
The story maintains the essence of Freddy giving it a modern look.
Wesley Strick focus in the little details that work in the original one and enhanced it to a different level. I believe that this movie has the potential to be a GREAT film, if they don't change the script too much and the director does a good job.
Long story short, go see it when it comes out April 30, 2010
