DC is finally taking steps to make movies about their Justice League characters the way Marvel has been making ones about its Avengers. THR reports that DC partner Warner Bros. has brought in three DC comics writers to help consult on several titles, notably Geoff Johns, who has written both The Flash and Green Lantern comics.

So far, the closest thing to an Aquaman movie has been the brief, fictional Aquaman "movie" scenes shot for HBO's Entourage series, but with Warners searching for a good aqua-story and Leonardo DiCaprio's production company working on it, signs are positive that a real Aquaman will be made.

While DC's progress is hardly in line with Marvel's definitive slate of Avengers movies, it is a step in the right direction. Until they arrive in theaters, however, comic fans can only dream of a day when both Justice League and Avengers movies battle for box office dominance.

After had joined before Summer, both Will Ferrell and David Dobkin (director) have decided to exit the 2oth Century-Fox comedy.

The sci-fi comedy -- in which an urban-dwelling man moves to the suburbs, joins the neighborhood watch and uncovers an alien plot ("The 'Burbs" meets "Men in Black") -- had gained a fair amount of momentum at the studio.

Who will organize and take care of the neighborhood now??

There had been talks of Tom Cruise starring on Spyglass Entertainment's thriller remake "The Tourist"

The premise of the movie is:

An American tourist is used by an Interpol agent in an attempt to flush out a criminal with whom she once had an affair.

Before Tom Cruise had made his decision to do the James Mangold comedy with Cameron Diaz, news were that he was attached to the upcoming film. Nevertheless, THR (The Hollywood Reporter) reports that Cruise has been replaced by Sam Worthington (the new "IT" Aussie Star from Terminator Salvation).

Filming is now scheduled to start in January, hoping for a 2010 release.

Sam Worthington will accompany Charlize Theron as the main characters.

The original French Thriller that this is a remake of was called ANTHONY ZIMMER and it first premiered in 2005. For the American version, the main roles will be switched, with Theron playing an Interpol agent who uses an American Tourist (Worthington)

It was not enough with the first one, they had to start with the second one.
What movie am I talking about?

QUARANTINE 2

Sony Screen Gems has officially started development on Quarantine 2, the sequel to the box office success from last October that grossed over 30m here in the States. The first film was a nearly shot-for-shot remake of the Spanish horror film [REC] (more like a copy-cat).
Nevertheless, because they want to be ORIGINAL, they won't do the same for the second one because Screen Gems is looking for a totally original pitch for the sequel.
Filmax is in post-production on their own sequel to [REC] that's slated for release later this year in Spain.

Wow,
what a way to be original Sony!!

The action continues from [Rec], with the medical officer and a SWAT team outfitted with video cameras are sent into the sealed off apartment to control the situation.

NINJAS NINJAS!!

I don't have to say a lot about this, other than, it's going to be AMAZING!!!

Ninjas, who doesn't like them??
Assassins, how cool are they??

Put them together and you have

NINJA ASSASSIN

But, you be the judge
